We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) School / Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children with challenging behaviour, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with challenging behaviour.
*Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s policies.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans.
*Monitor and report on the progress of pupils, adapting strategies as necessary.
*Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
*Proven experience working with children who have challenging behaviour.
*Team Teach trained.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
