SEND Learning Support Assistant
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant to work in SEND schools across Liverpool on a supply basis. This role is dedicated to supporting students with special educational needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities: *Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND, both in and outside the classroom.
*Use structured teaching methods, visual aids, and SEND-specific strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
*Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
*Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers, SENCOs, and parents.
*Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver a consistent and effective approach to student development.
*Support students in developing social skills, managing sensory sensitivities, and adapting to daily school routines.
*Assist with personal care and mobility needs as required, ensuring the dignity and well-being of each student.
*Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEND education.
*Maintain accurate records of student progress and support activities.
What We’re Looking For: *Proven experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or similar setting.
*Strong understanding of SEND-specific teaching strategies and approaches.
*Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
*Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development and well-being of students with SEND.
*Flexibility and teamwork skills to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
