Job Description:
Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Salary: circa £30,000- £35,000 DOE
Location: St Helens
Our client is a reputable and growing family business based in St Helens, who are looking for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join their close-knit team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities include:
*Support with the production of month end accounts
*Assist with the production of management accounts, supporting the Finance Manager
*Manage the rebate process
*Post bank transactions
*Analyse stock costing and report on costs for manufacturing
*Balance sheet reconciliation
*Responsible for supplier claims and debits & credits
*Any ad hoc duties as required to support the finance team and wider business
The ideal candidate:
*Previous experience within a similar position
*Analytical mindset
*Strong excel skills
*Friendly personality and strong work ethic
*High level of accuracy
