Job Description:
Valuations Assistant manager OR Manager
As a Valuations Assistant Manager OR Manager, you will take ownership of the following responsibilities:
*Preparing valuation working papers and final output letters, reports and / or presentations.
*Assisting with the preparation of reports for litigious matters and presenting findings in an accepted manner to be used as Expert evidence.
*Supporting the team on a wide range of small to mid-market deals through the preparation of financial due diligence reports, information memoranda and financial models.
*Working with the team to deliver buy-side and sell-side advisory engagements including via M&A, MBO and EOT scenarios.
*Analysis of financial statements, management information and deal documentation.
*Reviewing legal documents such as sale and purchase agreements and completion accounts.
*Assisting clients with completion procedures including cash and net debt analysis.
*Preparation of market research to support the valuation of companies and to identify potential buyers under sale mandates as well as target companies for acquisitive clients.
What experience do I need?
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:
*ACA finalist / qualified or CFA qualification (minimum criteria).
*Some degree of corporate finance experience including specific experience in undertaking company valuations using a range of methodologies (minimum criteria).
*Experience in working in a client-facing role with SME / owner-managed businesses and an understanding of the factors impacting their operations.
*Familiarity with corporate intelligence databases such as PitchBook, MarkToMarket, Experian MarketIQ desirable.
*Excellent attention to detail and takes responsibility for the accuracy and high quality of work.
*Strong stakeholder management skills including an ability to communicate complex information to a non-specialist audience.
*Strong analytical skills including an ability to identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies in data presented.
*2:1 degree desirable.
