The Company:
This role will be shared between two companies Thames Marine Services and Thames Luxury Charters.
Thames Marine Services are a fuel and lubricant provider to vessels on the River Thames. Our office is based in the Shad Thames area where business is conducted, overseen and communicated with the crew on the river.
Thames Luxury Charters own and operate a varied fleet of exquisite private charter vessels in London, presenting a selection of unique venues for hire that are perfect for both personal and corporate events.
Job Role:
We are seeking an organised individual to join our team as a HR Administrator. The role includes:
HR Administration:
*Manage the administration of the HR system, ensuring accurate and compliant employee records.
*Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including offer letters, contracts, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
*Conduct engaging and informative inductions for new starters.
*Ensure compliance with right-to-work checks and data protection regulations (GDPR).
*Foster a positive work environment through team socials, regular check-ins, and company updates.
*Provide day-to-day HR support to employees.
*Assist with employee relations cases, as needed.
*Manage performance management and probation reviews.
*Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, shortlisting, and interviewing.
*Monitor working hours for marine crew and maintain accurate records.
*Assist with payroll, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks.
*Coordinate the leaver process, including exit interviews.
*Manage uniform ordering and stores for marine crew.
*Administer employee benefits such as private medical insurance, parking permits, and cycle-to-work schemes.
Training and Development:
*Develop and implement an annual training calendar aligned with individual development plans.
*Maintain accurate records of staff qualifications and ensure compliance with statutory training requirements.
*Identify and engage with suitable training providers to organise course bookings.
*Support the BML Apprenticeship Rotational scheme, including theory training and liaising with Thames Skills Academy.
*Oversee employee records on the CPD portal.
Personal Specification:
*Proven experience in HR administration.
*Knowledge of employment law and HR practices.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
