Rate Of Pay: £11.44 per hour
Shift Patterns: Bank, zero hour contract
Information about the Role: As a Support Worker the main function of your role will be to provide exceptional care to service users, under the direction of the Registered Manager, in accordance with best practice, and in line with policy, procedures and legislation.
Working as a Support Worker your duties will include the following:
*Using the training provided, aid the people we support through all aspect of life including mealtimes, bathing and day to day activities.
*By getting to know the people we support you will be able to help write their care plans and understand when risk assessments may be needed.
*Be there to assist the people we support in daily activities, social interactions, and outings either in a group setting or on a 121 basis.
*Assist the people we support with their health needs as required, which may include administering medication and attending medical appointments.
*Keep daily paperwork up to date to ensure we have captured everything that has happened in the day
Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Support worker:
*Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Domiciliary Carer or Senior preferred.
*Caring, kind and considerate.
*Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life.
*Good communication skills.
*Able handle sometimes challenging situations.
*Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.

Sturdee Community Hospital offers a flexible environment designed to support each patient’s progress along their rehab pathway. Sturdee Hospital is a 31 bedded hospital in Leicester, providing a holistic service for women between 18-65 with complex mental health needs that include: personality disorder; serious and enduring mental illness; co-morbidity; and a history of complex trauma.
