Job Description:
e.surv Chartered Surveyors, the UK’s leading residential surveyor since 1989, stands as the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. We are actively seeking a talented Software Developer to design, develop, and test innovative software solutions for e.surv and our clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
*Translate user requirements into actionable user stories, execute estimations, and lead planning and delivery initiatives.
*Collaborate decisively with other developers and analysts to ensure efficient project delivery within the team.
*Write robust code in Python, ReactJS, and SQL to meet and exceed all project requirements.
*Employ strong analytical skills to swiftly solve complex problems and challenges.
Essential Requirements:
*Strong expertise in programming languages and frameworks, including Swift, ReactJS, Docker, Django, Python, and HTML5.
*In-depth knowledge of relational database management systems, particularly MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
*Proficient in Linux and Windows command line interfaces.
*Solid understanding of user interface design technologies.
*Exceptional verbal, written, and numerical communication skills.
*Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
*Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and experience with HR packages/databases.
*Independent self-starter capable of operating within defined guidelines or processes. - Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels.
*Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
*Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive application documentation.
Experience, Qualifications, and Other Requirements Specific to the Role:
*Essential: Relevant degree or equivalent.
*Desirable: STEM degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a software developer.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
*Proven experience with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
*Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
*Strong knowledge of data integrity and security concepts as they pertain to development.
*Understanding of ITIL principles.
*Comprehensive grasp of software development processes (SDLC).
