Job Description:
We have an ambitious?Investment Strategy, which aims to demonstrate how by 2050 we can both grow and improve the condition of our estate of homes, ensuring all are of a standard fit for the future. We’re looking for a Regeneration & Major Projects Director to join us, based from our Head office in Basingstoke.
Overseeing our southern regions, the Regeneration and Major Projects Director will play a pivotal role in leading a socio-economic approach to the regeneration of SNG’s neighbourhoods. The role will advance SNG’s thinking on regeneration, approach and delivery, acting as an influencer both within and outside the organisation and help to establish SNG as the leading regeneration agency operator in the sector.
The role:
The role will lead a portfolio of major projects of significant scale and complexity within the south region. The projects will be varied in scope, whether it is large-scale estate regeneration, complex land assembly, town centre redevelopment in partnership with other landowners or partnership working with private sector developers and local authorities. Furthermore, the projects will vary in terms of delivery stage; ranging from initial feasibility, through to planning and procurement, ready to transfer into delivery.
The successful applicant will be responsible for crafting and communicating a compelling vision and bringing internal and external stakeholders along with them, ensuring support at every stage. Working closely with peers within the Customer and Community investment functions, to ensure that SNG’s approach to these complex regeneration and major projects is cohesive, with the customer at the centre of our plans.
What we’re looking for:
*Leadership behaviours aligned to SNG’s values, fostering an environment of trust, transparency, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
*Detailed knowledge of principles and practices gained through comparable experience of development and large-scale estate regeneration.
*Deep understanding of viability in regeneration development schemes and how to secure best value from our assets.
*Commitment to delivering schemes of high quality.
*Politically astute approach and be able to build high levels of credibility and impact quickly, working within networks to deliver through and with others.
*Commercial confidence and acumen with strong financial management skills to bring about demonstrable improvements in efficiency, value for money and income generation.
*Membership of appropriate professional body by examination e.g. RTPI, RICS, CIH or evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
What you can expect from us:
*£450 flex-pot annually, discounted shopping & cycling scheme
*25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (with an extra day every year up to 30 days)
*Company pension scheme matched up to 12%, life cover at 4x your salary
*Flexible working - we’re committed to giving people flexibility as widely as possible
*Private medical insurance, dental insurance & critical illness cover
