Position Available: Embedded Systems Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £50,000 - £62,000 DoE + Bonus
Experience needed: We are looking for candidates with a strong background in digital hardware design, FPGA design (firmware), or embedded software design. Experience in embedded digital systems, including partitioning functions between software and FPGA, modelling performance, and integrating/testing systems on hardware platforms, is essential.
About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Embedded Digital Design Engineer to join our team and work on an exciting portfolio of cutting-edge embedded digital systems. These include advanced DSP systems (e.g., Image Processing, Software-Defined Radios), complex SoC systems, and safety/security-critical systems. You’ll work with the latest embedded devices from industry leaders like Xilinx, Intel, Texas Instruments, and Analogue Devices.
This role offers involvement across all phases of development, from initial design (partitioning functions between Software and FPGA) to implementation, integration, and testing-bringing complex systems to life!
You’ll have the flexibility to focus on areas that interest you most, such as Embedded Systems Design, Software Design, FPGA Design, or Hardware Design. For those interested in leadership, technical and team lead opportunities are also available, allowing you to shape your career path.
What we need from you
*A background in either Digital Hardware Design, FPGA Design (firmware), or Embedded Software Design
*Proficiency in embedded digital design and modelling (e.g., partitioning functional elements between software and FPGA)
*Ability to model and analyse key performance aspects of designs
*Integration and testing of embedded systems on hardware platforms
