Job Description:
Are you passionate about education and keen to support students in their learning journey? We are seeking a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team in a vibrant Liverpool secondary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or for those considering a career in teaching.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
*Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
*Ensure that students remain on task with the pre-set work.
*Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy.
*Provide support to students where necessary to facilitate learning.
*Report back to the appropriate teacher on student progress.
*Assist with other duties around the school, including exam invigilation and supporting staff as required.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
*Has strong communication and classroom management skills.
*Is confident, adaptable, and able to work independently.
*Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
*Has experience working with young people (previous experience as a teaching assistant, sports coach, or in another educational setting is advantageous but not essential).
*Is enthusiastic about supporting student development and willing to make a positive impact in the classroom.
Requirements:
*Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
*Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
*An enhanced DBS check will be required (we can assist with this process).
