Job Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of needs, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure each child reaches their full potential, both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in delivering tailored educational programs, including one-to-one and small group support.
* Support students with a variety of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
* Foster a positive, supportive, and safe classroom environment.
* Help with classroom preparation, resource development, and record-keeping.
* Encourage the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children, particularly in an SEND setting (preferred but not essential).
* Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting children with diverse needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A flexible and adaptable approach to meet individual pupil needs.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
