JRI Orthopaedics offer a comprehensive range of implants and instrumentation and are a trusted medical sector manufacturer of world-class hip and shoulder prostheses.
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Design Engineer to join their R&D team and lead the design and development of products working closely with the departmental lead.
This is a great opportunity to work in an open environment and develop products in line with a 10 year NPD strategy.
As the Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
*Developing orthopaedic products for specific applications
*Innovating using technology to develop IP protected customer solutions in line with the NPD strategy
*Assisting the department head with the continual development of the team, working under your own initiative as and when appropriate.
*Managing NPD projects to support the product development and progression to manufacture
*Ensuring products meet the relevant regulatory requirements
To be considered for the Senior Design Engineer you will need:
*Specific medical device sector design and development experience
*Engineering degree
*Experience of working in a project environment
*A good level of 3D CAD competence
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to support more junior staff
