Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Buyer/Assistant Buyer to join our team. Your role will be to purchase goods to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, considering price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.

An independent family run business that have been providing free prescription deliveries for over 40 years.
Description
*Taking ownership of the purchasing process to get the best discounts while meeting customer demand and minimizing warehouse stock.
*Monitoring supplier discounts and availability to ensure efficient and effective purchasing.
*To liaise directly with clients (nurses), suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure products are secured and successfully delivered.
*To ensure all information is accurately recorded and all tasks actioned in a timely and professional manner.
*To effectively time manage to meet all deadlines, due dates, and delivery schedules.
*To have a full understanding of the internal and external customer’s needs and exact requirements
*Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk to or impact on business operations.
*Deliver purchasing briefs, updates, and reports as and when required.
*To support the development of ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement for sourcing
*Support development of team KPIs and strategies to aid purchasing performance
*Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Profile
*Strong IT skills with proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
*A positive attitude with the ability to deliver excellent customer experience and satisfaction.
*Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
*Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and with other teams throughout the business.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Proficient planning and organisational skills with a methodical and logical approach
*Experience of ensuring quality standards are maintained
