Job Title: Assistant Household Underwriter
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available
Salary Range: Circa £32,000
Location: Eastleigh

Assistant Household Underwriter: To contribute to the profitable development and maximise the performance of the Ageas Broker/Direct Household accounts, by assisting in the development and improvement of underwriting, pricing and products through all distribution channels.
Main Responsibilities as an Assistant Household Underwriter:
*Support the underwriting management of the Broker/Direct account schemes and products, working with internal departments to develop and grow profitable accounts and deliver against our strategic ambition, ensuring we meet our GWP, MYB and COR targets.
*To research, develop and support recommendations on new underwriting concepts, utilising market and competitor analysis, to maximise account profitability.
*To assist in reviewing underwriting rules and documentation and support with making recommendations to ensure that the business written by Ageas is of the required quality to maximise the profitability of the accounts.
*Assist with providing scheme performance packs, checking accuracy of internal Mi and providing concession guides.
*Supporting internal governance procedures and ensuring we are compliant with current Fair Pricing practices.
Skills and experience you need as an Assistant Household Underwriter:
*Some underwriting knowledge and experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
*Strong numeracy and Excel skills are beneficial, or to have the ability to learn new software quickly.
*Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing, and able to communicate technical issues in a clear way.
