Teaching Assistant | Primary School | Wandsworth, London (SW15) | January 2025 Start | Long-term to Permanent | £95 - £105 per day
Long Term Futures is collaborating with a welcoming primary school in Wandsworth and we are seeking a Teaching Assistant. This role focuses on supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through tailored interventions, small group work and general classroom support.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver general classroom support, and targeted SEN support through small group sessions and one-to-one interventions
*Work alongside the SENCo and class teacher to design and implement individualised education plans
*Assist in creating tailored study areas to provide focused learning environments for students with Special Educational Needs.
*Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that supports all learners
*Adapt learning materials and teaching strategies to meet the needs of children.
*Monitor student progress, providing feedback to staff and parents
The perfect candidate for this role will have:
*Previous experience working with SEN children in a school or similar setting
*A calm, patient, and flexible approach to supporting young learners
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the SENCo, teachers, and support staff
*A Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent is highly desirable
*A commitment to creating positive learning experiences for children with SEN
