DUTY SOLICITOR:
The appointed Duty Solicitor will be dealing with a range of criminal matters at all stages of proceedings and demonstrate experience handling a range of criminal matters. You will oversee your own caseload of criminal cases from start to completion, maintaining direct client communication and demonstrating strong verbal and written skills, while delivering outstanding, empathetic client care. The role requires attending police stations and Magistrates’ Courts outside regular office hours to advise and represent clients, as well as preparing briefs for Counsel when necessary. You will demonstrate excellent communication and client care skills, work well in a team, be passionate, motivated and looking for long-term career development opportunities.
