Contract Role - IT Security Lead - Newcastle/Onsite - 12 months
Gibbs Consulting seeks an experienced and pragmatic IT Security Lead to ensure secure and compliant IT systems across our client’s organisation. This pivotal role will see you assess, address, and resolve security vulnerabilities, manage remediation activities, and lead incident response processes. You will also draft IT security policies, maintain an IT risk register, and collaborate with internal and third-party teams to mitigate risks.

• Location: Newcastle/Onsite (5 days per week onsite)
• Contract Type: Contract
• Duration: 12 months initially
• Sector: Healthcare
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure and security engineering.
• Strong background in network and application architecture, with knowledge of hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
• Hands-on experience with Zero Trust methodologies and security product deployment.
• Familiarity with national and international security standards and compliance requirements.
• Detail-oriented, highly organised and capable of independent and collaborative work.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to influence and guide diverse teams.
• Previous experience in a highly regulated environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Healthcare/Pharmaceutical background is a plus.
