Job Description:
SQL Server DBA – 6 Month Contract – Inside IR35 - £550 - £575 per day
We are working with a Kent based company who are looking for a strong SQL DBA to come and work as part of the team supporting their systems covering both BAU and project streams. You will need to possess a strong knowledge of SQL Server environments, including security planning, performance tuning and all associated administration tasks.
Required Skills and Experience:
*Responsibility for the effective management, data integrity and performance of the companies Reporting and SQL Server environments
*Carry out reporting and data related requests as part of the BAU and individual project streams
*Database administration and maintenance tasks including capacity planning, security and integrity planning, index generation, performance tuning (including ETL and stored procedures) and any other associated administration processes
*Troubleshooting failures of implemented processes, including those designed and implemented by other developers or external resources
*Ensure adherence to Change Management practices, including source and version controls
*Ensure related documentation is informative and kept up to date
*Work with IT Infrastructure and Operations teams to ensure backup, business interruption and disaster recovery plans are developed, tested and maintained for SQL Server environments
*Provide consultancy to colleagues (team, departmental and project) regarding Reporting, SQL, ETL and database development, automation of monitoring and housekeeping tasks and SQL server upgrade planning.
*Knowledge of Azure PAAS and Azure Availability groups.
*Experience of Data migration from On Premise to Azure
