Senior Children Residential Support Worker- £32,021.73 - £35,486.90 (including enhancements and extras) -Manchester, M15
The Role
Have you worked in a residential setting with children between the ages of 7-17? Do you have the skills to promote positive behaviour and create a supportive environment for growth? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing holistic care and support to children and young people with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Working within our 3-bed Children’s home, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of the young people under your care.

Key Responsibilities:
*Enable children/young people to establish their identity within their home environment.
*Ensure the wishes and feelings of children/young people are considered in all aspects of their care.
*Support children/young people in maintaining meaningful relationships.
*Provide opportunities for education, development, and enrichment.
*Promote the health and well-being of each child/young person.
*Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals.
*Maintain accurate records and reports in line with data protection regulations.
*Create a safe and secure environment for children/young people.
*Promote positive behaviour and respond effectively to challenging situations.
*Commit to ongoing professional development and learning.
*Demonstrate compassionate and decisive leadership when supporting colleagues.
*Lead supervision sessions with colleagues, delivering clear and concise targets.
