Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking to take the next big step in your career? We’re working with a growing engineering company, offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team!
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take full ownership of both the purchase and sales ledger, with progression opportunities to take on month-end duties. You’ll have the chance to work closely with the Financial Controller, gaining valuable experience and growing your skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
*Handling all aspects of accounts receivable, including generating invoices, reconciling customer accounts, resolving queries, and managing communications.
*Managing credit control activities to optimisze cash flow and oversee effective cash management.
*Overseeing all elements of accounts payable, such as issuing purchase orders, reconciling supplier accounts, and resolving invoice discrepancies.
*Coordinating supplier payment runs in alignment with agreed credit terms.
*Processing and reconciling company credit card transactions against receipts.
*Managing employee expense claims, ensuring accurate reconciliation and adherence to company policies.
*Compiling payroll data and preparing it for submission to external accountants.
*Managing accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
*Performing bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date cash flow records.
*Preparing cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.
*Conducting balance sheet reconciliations to verify financial accuracy
Ideal Candidate;
*2+ years experience in an Accounts Assistant role essential
*Ideally studying or AAT qualified
*Keen to progress onto ACCA/CIMA
