Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Widnes (fully office based)
Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum
Team: Small team of 3
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am - 4:50 pm
Friday: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client in Widnes. This is a full-time role with excellent benefits and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger Management:
*Handling all aspects of the purchase ledger using a fully automated system.
*Receiving, authorising, and posting invoices to the relevant nominal accounts.
*Reconciling supplier statements.
*Processing two payment runs per month.
Credit Control:
*Allocating and posting daily cash receipts.
*Chasing overdue accounts and managing collections effectively.
Administrative Tasks:
*Ordering office stationery supplies.
*Occasionally booking overseas travel arrangements.
*Weekly processing of clock cards.
Requirements:
*Technical Skills: *Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Email.
*Familiarity with D365 or similar ERP systems (training provided).
*Experience: *Strong credit control experience is highly desirable, with a willingness to learn purchase ledger responsibilities.
*Personal Attributes: *Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
*Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
