Job Description:
Join a pioneering space company at the forefront of satellite communications as a Product Assurance Engineer. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of innovative space products from concept through delivery, upholding rigorous standards across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
*Design and implement Product Assurance Plans tailored to each project, ensuring cohesive quality control across suppliers and partners.
*Oversee quality assurance processes for materials, parts, and manufacturing methods, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
*Engage in critical design reviews, as well as supplier and customer evaluations, to identify potential issues early.
*Manage and resolve non-conformance issues, critical items, and changes in project requirements.
*Conduct detailed reviews of drawings, procedures, test results, and inspection records to confirm adherence to specifications.
*Carry out quality assurance protocols during the Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Test (MAIT) phases, both in-house and with vendors.
*Lead Quality Management System initiatives, including internal audits, continuous improvement projects, and metrics analysis for quality and process improvements.
*Act as the primary liaison for customer and supplier communications related to quality assurance.
Qualifications and Experience: *Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or a related technical field.
*Solid background in Product or Quality Assurance within the spaceflight or aerospace manufacturing sector.
*Experience in the design, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and delivery phases of spaceflight hardware.
*Strong technical writing skills for preparing in-depth technical documentation.
*Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) in an industrial environment.
*Proficiency with quality assurance tools, techniques, and methodologies.
*Knowledge of or experience in RAMS, Radiation, EEE Parts, Materials, and Processes.
*Knowledge of the following a distinct advantage
*Satellite subsystem Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT).
*Ground support equipment and electronic components (e.g., digital communication hardware, PCBs).
*Manufacturing techniques such as soldering, coatings, and bonding.
*Satellite payloads and subsystems.
