South Manchester - Hybrid Working
Due to continued growth, my client has an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join their business in this newly created role in South Manchester. Reporting directly into the Senior BI Analyst, you will support the sales and merchandising functions in optimising ways of working and centralising data reporting.
Your role will involve:
*Provide insights and recommendations to increase turnover and profit.
*Take the lead in optimising reporting, processes and ways of working cross functionally between different teams.
*Provide regular detailed analysis of performance against KPIs to the wider business, adding commentary to give a complete picture.
*Collaborate with the data team to build dashboards in the data analysis software, to support data led commercial decisions. Our clients goal is self-service reporting, enabling all team members to find answers to their own questions.
*Monitor and maintain a high level of data integrity in all systems. Work with teams to improve data accuracy and integrity, to support business wide consistency and trust in dashboards.
*Evaluate market data to track competitor performance and key category trends, identifying range gaps and potential growth opportunities.
Skills & Experience:
Our client is looking for a friendly, independent and outgoing analyst who can think proactively, take the initiative, and strategically push the business forward. The ideal candidate will be confident in implementing positive change.
*Friendly, independent and proactive thinker
*Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
*High level of proficiency in Excel
*Use of other analytical software advantageous
*Deep understanding of commercial KPI’s
*Ability to spot trends, highlight issues and apply creative thinking to all situations
*Knowledge and experience of both B2B and B2C
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Experience within the Home category advantageous
