Job Description:
REED Cheltenham are working with a Gloucestershire based company who are looking for a Photographer/Retoucher on a full time and permanent basis. As the business continues to go from strength to strength and build their online presence, this is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has had previous experience within fashion or retail.
Reporting into the Head of Marketing, the Photographer will be primarily responsible for the creation and retouching of all product photography in the studio, working closely with the design and marketing teams, you will need to understand and build on the brand vision, customer targets and ensure accuracy and consistency across all photography customer touchpoints. You will work within a fun, fast pace and reactionary business. You will need to be highly organised to ensure a continuous output.
Experience and skills required
Must have:
Studio Photography (mannequin, model and stills)
Retouching all imagery in line with brief. Manage the processing and use of images, discuss technical problems, colour match, check for quality and filing.
Assisting in preparation of studio, sets and clothing, pre shoot.
Use an extensive range of technical equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting and specialist software
Communicate with photographic subjects to put them at ease, encourage and direct them
Arrange still life objects, products, scenes, props and backgrounds
Liaise with Graphic Designers, Digital Content Editor and Head of Marketing for creative and output direction
Prepare proofs for approval
Understand the digital photography ’world’ and keep up to date with industry trends, developments, new techniques and competitors.
Advanced Photoshop and Capture One experience.
Desirable:
Video editing experience
