Town Planner - Manchester Office
My client, a leading consultancy in the planning and development sector, is currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Town Planner to join their team based out of their Manchester office. The company is known for providing expert planning services to a diverse range of clients, ensuring high-quality outcomes and sustainable developments across various sectors.
Role Overview: As a Town Planner, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of planning services, including preparing planning applications, conducting site assessments, and engaging with stakeholders. The Town Planner will play a key role in providing advice and support throughout the development process, ensuring compliance with local and national planning regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare and submit planning applications for a variety of development projects.
*Conduct site assessments and provide advice on planning matters.
*Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients to ensure smooth project progression.
*Assist in the preparation of planning reports and technical documents.
*Stay updated on current planning policies and legislation.
*Support senior planners in managing projects and meeting deadlines.
*Provide guidance and support to clients, offering innovative solutions to planning challenges.
Requirements:
*A degree in Town Planning or a related field (RTPI accreditation is desirable).
*Relevant experience in planning, with a strong understanding of planning legislation and policy.
*Experience with planning applications, site assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
