Job Description:
Responsibilities:
i) Pricing trades: Computationally-intensive process, and the candidates should be able to perform these calculations efficiently. Additionally, the candidates should ideally have the capability to improve the existing technology or tools to enhance efficiency in this area.
ii) Illiquid asset structuring: This involves analyzing bond/loan documents to identify and evaluate unusual risks, the strength of implicit or explicit guarantees, and other relevant factors related to structuring illiquid assets.
iii) Problem-solving for clients: The candidates will be expected to come up with solutions for unique client requests and challenges. They should be capable of identifying solutions for problems that clients may not be aware of and identifying opportunities for revenue generation.
iv) Staying updated with regulations, accounting practices, and market changes: The candidates should keep track of regulatory changes, accounting standards, and market trends. This knowledge will help them generate new trade ideas that can be marketed to clients.
v) General day-to-day client coverage: The candidates will have general client coverage responsibilities, which involve managing client relationships, addressing client inquiries, and providing ongoing support.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong fundamental understanding of interest rate markets and the policy developments that drive them.
Validated professional experience in rates markets, preferably in the UK, either on the buy-side or sell-side. Experience in EUR and USD markets is a plus.
Sophisticated quantitative skills to develop models and analyze market data effectively.
Creative problem-solving abilities, comfortable finding new ways to coordinate information and present analysis clearly.
Relevant professional qualification such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is preferred.
Degree in a relevant subject such as economics, finance, or mathematics.
Strong team player with commercial acumen and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
