Finance Administrator *Job Type: Part-time
*Location: Leicester
*Salary: £20 p/h
We are seeking a diligent Finance Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing invoices, ensuring accurate financial records, processing member expenses, and assisting with branch finances. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of financial processes and a commitment to improving procedures.
Day to Day of the Role: *Input and verify all invoices, ensuring they are authorised, approved for payment, and allocated to the correct budget/cost codes.
*Checking complex expense claims and benefits, ensuring payments are correct
*Record and reconcile transactions.
*Process income and expenditures.
*Manage expenses, including compliance checks, authorisation, and booking travel arrangements, while applying correct budget/cost codes.
*Assist branches with account creation, quarterly returns, and provide guidance on financial rules and policies.
*Conduct random and scheduled audits of branch accounts to ensure compliance with branch rules.
*Advise branches on financing, including setting up new bank accounts and understanding taxable payments.
*Handle all forms of income securely, process and reconcile accounts, and administer credit card payments.
*Manage petty cash, ensuring transactions are verified and monitored.
*Collaborate with IT and others to clarify branch codes.
*Perform additional administrative functions as required.
*Continuously seek to improve financial procedures and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience in financial administration or a similar role.
*Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
*Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
*Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
