Interim Finance Assistant - St. Austell - £25-27,000
Trial Balance Consulting have been re-engaged by a long standing; a long established and highly successful specialist FMCG business based in St. Austell (with onsite parking). Due to up-coming maternity leave, the company now seek to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their experienced accounting function. This is a full time contract with an anticipated duration of 12 months, commencing ASAP.
This is a broad role with a particular focus on leading the accounts payable and receivable function. Key responsibilities to include:
- Day-to-day management of the accounts receivable function
- Setting up new suppliers
- Assisting the Finance Manager with a range of accounting projects and tasks
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Aged debtor maintenance
- Raising credit notes
- Reconciliation of purchase ledger invoices
- Preparing supplier payment runs
- Payroll processing
- General ledger analysis
- Other ad-hoc finance tasks and assisting with accounting projects
For this role we’re seeking a candidate who possesses at least 12 months of experience gained within a similar environment, either part/fully AAT or qualified by experience. Previous experience using SAGE based systems would be advantageous but not essential for candidates with a strong aptitude to learn a new platform.
