Role Summary
The Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing financial data, supporting decision-making, and ensuring smooth financial operations. You will be a go-to person for financial queries, assist in the budgeting process, handle management and year-end accounts, and contribute to audits. A strong ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial.
Key Responsibilities
*Month/Year-end Processing: Handling financial close processes and ensuring deadlines are met.
*Management Accounts: Preparing draft management accounts for review and presentation.
*Budget Ownership: Taking charge of the budgeting process, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
*Audit Responsibility: Leading audit tasks and ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
*Reporting: Creating various reports as required, including balance sheet reconciliations and depot reporting packs.
*Business Partnering: Working collaboratively with internal and external teams to achieve business goals.
Candidate Requirements
*Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance roles.
*Qualification: Actively studying towards or already qualified in CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification.
*Skills: *Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with others.
*High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is a must.
*Strong troubleshooting skills.
*Ability to manage and complete tasks through effective business partnering.
