Hays are recruiting for a job as a Full-Time Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant for a Welsh-Medium Primary School in Caerphilly County. The school has a fantastic reputation for providing its pupils with a high standard of education through the Welsh language. They also strive to create and maintain a consistently supportive and inclusive environment which their pupils can grow and develop within. The school caters for pupils aged between 3 and 11. Within this role you shall be working within an SEN class with small groups of pupils aged between 9 and 11 with additional learning needs and some aspects of challenging behaviour. The school is well-regarded and has a respected teaching staff who are eager to support new additions to the team.
Your new role.
The role is confirmed long-term for an immediate start, working 5 days a week. However, part-time roles are also available. Duties relating to this role include but are not limited to:
*Working with small groups of pupils aged 9-11 in an SEN class.
*Dealing with potentially challenging behaviour.
*Creating and maintaining a safe, enjoyable, interactive, and engaging learning environment for the pupils.
*Conversing in Welsh with pupils and staff members alike.
*Assisting teachers and fellow teaching assistants as a member of the close, positive, and well-respected teaching team.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, it is required that you possess at least 40 days of relevant experience over the course of the last 2 - 3 years and must be able to speak Welsh. Some of the key attributes and skills needed for this role include empathy, enthusiasm, respect, and dedication. Additional relevant skills include reliability, care, and calmness.
