Elevation Recruitment Groups Design & Projects team are seeking a passionate and creative Design Engineer to join a dynamic team dedicated to pioneering product development and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the full product lifecycle, from concept generation to manufacturing, while driving forward the development of cutting-edge solutions.

You will work closely with customers, manufacturing, and marketing teams to identify opportunities, design innovative products, and oversee their successful implementation. Preferably, you will have an understanding and / or prior skillset within injection moulding / plastics. 


Product Development / Design Engineer Duties & Responsibilities
*Engage with market stakeholders to design products that align with customer, market, and business requirements
*Take a hands-on approach to product design, encompassing concept selection, prototype creation, and testing/validation
*Focus on design for manufacturing, collaborating closely with production teams to ensure successful product implementation
*Lead and own design projects from inception to completion, meeting cost, quality, and timeline objectives
*Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment
*Work directly with customers to identify opportunities for new product development
*Collaborate with marketing and manufacturing teams to bring ideas to life
*Challenge assumptions and seek the best design solutions, contributing to a culture of innovation
Design Engineer Education and Skills Required
*A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field is preferred
*Candidates with significant vocational experience in a similar role will also be considered
*Proficiency in 3D CAD and visualization tools
*Strong knowledge of design and manufacturing engineering principles, with a focus on injection molding and metal fabrication
*Experience in prototyping and product testing to ensure quality and performance standards are met
*A creative mindset and passion for design and innovation
*Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
*Solid computer literacy and familiarity with various design and engineering software tools
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to professional integrity and innovation
