Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller to join the team of a company that supplies specialist plant equipment to the construction sector.
Our client has a great reputation in the industry and is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and flexible all-rounder to work as part of a busy depot based hire desk team within a supportive company. Great opportunities for progression are available.
The main parts of the role include:
Company - Established Plant Hire Company
Job Title - Hire Controller
Location - Ilkeston
Salary - Up to 30k / annum + bonus + excellent benefits
Role
*First point of contact for customer enquiries
*Setting up new customer accounts and credit checking
*Responsible for receiving orders and collections of equipment.
*Calculating and supply of quotes
*Negotiating with customers on hire rates and non-standard product prices
*Planning transport for deliveries and collections
*Dealing with off hires and collection notes
*To proactively work jointly with all departments
*Assisting with yard procedures
*Dealing with damages, calculating costs, liaising with customers regarding damages and ensuring payment is received
*Full training on product range will be given
Requirements
*Minimum 1 year experience working within the construction/ material supplies or hire industry
*Strong customer service skills and experience
*Excellent organisational skills
*Ideally you need to have your own transport for travel to the depot location
