Role Overview: I am supporting a Montessori Nursery and Primary School in Edinburgh who are seeking a Montessori Teacher to join their team full-time starting January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging classroom environment that supports the individual needs of each child, embracing the Montessori philosophy: promoting individually paced learning, fostering independence and encouraging creativity, empathy and a lifelong love of learning.
Montessori Primary School Teacher for ages 6-12.
This role is for the remainder of the school year and may have the potential for extension based on performance and the school’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and implement the Montessori curriculum and activities in a cross-curricular manner.
*Foster a peaceful classroom atmosphere.
*Maintain a well-organised and fully prepared classroom and outdoor environment.
*Observe and assess students’ progress and development.
*Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student growth.
*Participate in school events and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
*GTCS registered teacher who may have Montessori certification
*Passionate about education and committed to the Montessori philosophy.
*A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
