Senior Accounts Assistant
£35-38k
Chessington, Surrey
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office
Our wonderful client is seeking a Senior Accounts Assistant role to join their team. The client offers hybrid working, a great working environment and lots of variety.
They are looking for a highly experienced, enthusiastic, results-focused person to accounts assistant and you will be working closely with the Finance Manager, supporting smooth month-end processes and collaborating with teams across the business.
Principal Responsibilities
*Daily accounting tasks, including Sales and Purchase ledger
*Liaising with Finance Manager to ensure that all month end tasks are completed on a timely basis.
*Collate supplier payments and process into HSBC for authorization
*Keep bank payments and receipts up to date
*Reconcile bank statements, including month-end.
*Assist Finance Manager with month-end close by posting journals and preparing reconciliations .
*Assisting other team members to ensure accuracy and reporting deadlines are met
Qualifications and experience
*Previous experience in a similar role
*Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems
*Team Player
*Excellent attention to detail
*Excellent written and oral communications.
*Strong all round accounts knowledge
*Advanced proficiency with Sage 50
Preferred:
*Experience working in an international environment
*Previous experience of working in multiple currencies
*AAT or equivalent would be an advantage.
