Job Description:
Production Operator
*Location: Penicuik, Edinburgh
*Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
*Salary: £12 per hour / £23,400 per annum
Reed Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join a leading manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in manufacturing high-quality diagnostic products while ensuring compliance with GMP standards.
Day to Day of the role:
*Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) guidelines.
*Maintain accurate records of manufacturing processes.
*Operate and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
*Update procedures and documents to reflect current practices.
*Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff members.
*Perform a variety of tasks across different departments, including formulation, processing, monoclonal management, fill/label/pack operations, buffer and reagent preparation, and production services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Standard Grade or equivalent in English and Maths.
*Proficiency in basic IT and strong numeracy skills.
*Previous experience in a GMP environment is highly desirable.
*Ability to work in a clean room setting.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
*Flexibility to work in different departments as needed.
*Manual handling capability (e.g., lifting 10L/KG).
*Strict adherence to PPE and safety regulations.
