Job Description:
Our client, a leading automotive company, is looking to recruit a self-motivated, hardworking and skilled Fleet Mechanic, responsible for performing all levels of maintenance and repair work on assigned vehicles, including diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of engines, brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
Reporting to the Workshop Foreman, duties to include:
*Perform regular maintenance and service on vehicles, such as oil changes, tyre rotations/changes and brake checks
*Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles
*Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they are safe for use
*Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance
*Order and maintain inventory of parts and equipment
As a successful candidate you will have at least 5 years previous experience within car or commercial vehicle maintenance and possess an excellent knowledge of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment, experience carrying out MOTs could be beneficial but not essential. You will also be self-motivated, reliable, possess excellent communication skills, together with the ability to plan and manage your own workload efficiently. An NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair could be an advantage.
