£45,000 Basic Salary Plus car and Bens
Our client is looking an experienced contracts / installation manger to ensure safety, quality, cost and delivery requirements are met through planning, organising and control of the installation process to ensure all jobs are installed efficiently, on time, within budget and in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Standards procedures.
Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team of employed and subcontractor staff by building working relationships, implementing training programmes & regular appraisals and ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
Experience:
*Relevant degree or management qualification or equivalent experience.
*Valid SMSTS certification or prepared to fund & gain SMSTS certification.
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Contracts / installation Manager role or equivalent.
*Minimum 2 years’ experience managing people.
*Proven track record of managing and delivering within a highly pressured, time critical environment.
*Proven track record working within varied and sizeable building contractors.
*Experience of working within agreed targets, KPI’s, and deadlines.
*Proven track record of the ability to make sound commercial decisions.
*Good Microsoft Office skills and experience working with in-house systems.
*Working with risk assessments and method statements.
*Able to facilitate day-to-day operational and strategic objectives.
*A friendly, professional people person with excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
*Ability to understand, define and work with commercial concepts, processes, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee the effective allocation of resources to ensure all installations are completed on time, to include people, equipment, equipment hire, and vehicles, utilising the relevant in-house software to its full potential.
*Implement, communicate, control and monitor the installation schedule, review and adjust the schedule where needed.
*With an understanding of the risks and implications, make fast, effective decisions for the Installation area and wider business, based on both the short and long-term picture, taking accountability for the consequences of those decisions.
*Work closely with Sales, Design, Planning, and Production to develop robust installation schedules.
*Support with other post installation activities such as service contracts.
*Carry out planned and unplanned installation site visits to provide motivation, support, and coaching for the team and to ensure all jobs are being completed on time, within Health & Safety guidelines, and to the highest quality standards.
*Writing up risk assessments and method statements.
*Responsible for carrying out continuous improvement activities to increase quality and reduce costs.
*Prepare and maintain accurate, meaningful installation reports, with narrative, to include installation costs, staff / subcontractor costs, and monthly management meetings.
*Work within the Management team to implement the company’s policies and goals.
*Supervise and motivate all installation staff and ensure they are effectively using the installation software.
*Ensure that all installation equipment and vehicles are kept clean & tidy, and servicing / MOT’s are up to date.
