Job Description:
*Up to £40,000 DOE

We are seeking a Senior Product and Packaging Designer to join a thriving company that designs and produces products for some of the world’s most renowned retailers. The ideal candidate will bring over 7 years of experience in packaging design and artwork for retail, combined with advanced 3D modelling skills for both presentations and manufacturing purposes.
In this senior role, you will produce commercial designs tailored to specific client requirements while also leading trend research and compiling trend forecast packs for in-house use. You’ll manage projects, mentor junior designers, and play a pivotal role in delivering creative, high-quality solutions for clients globally.
This role requires excellent design skills, the ability to work in a variety of styles, and a passion for homewares and interior trends.
Key Responsibilities in this Senior Product & Packaging Design role:
*Designing concepts for new products in line with client briefs.
*Generating high-quality artwork for products and packaging, including setting up cutter guides for print.
*Conducting trend research and compiling trend forecast packs for in-house use.
*Leading new product development (NPD) research to stay ahead of market trends.
*Preparing impactful customer presentations to support sales pitches.
*Overseeing artwork checking and ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
*Training and mentoring junior designers.
*Creating 3D models and visuals for new and conceptual products.
*Producing 3D printed materials to support the manufacturing process.
Requirements:
*Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud for Mac (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Dimension ideally).
*Expertise in creating cutter guides and artwork layouts for packaging.
*Skilled in 3D rendering and modelling software such as Fusion 360 or similar.
*Extensive experience in packaging design with a strong understanding of incorporating essential product details (e.g., barcodes, hazard warnings).
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate with junior team members.
*Efficient, fast-working, and able to meet tight deadlines.
*Enthusiastic, passionate, and a great team player.
*Must drive + have access to a vehicle due to the remote office location!
