Job Description:
Cyber Security Analyst
Up to £45k
Cardiff - 1 day a week onsite
We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Cyber Security Support Analyst to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. This role is integral to strengthening security infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and proactively addressing cyber threats.
*Contribute to the expansion and enhancement of security infrastructure.
*Monitor for intrusions, unauthorised activities, and unusual behaviour using advanced tools.
*Stay updated on the latest developments in cybersecurity and technology.
*Research and evaluate emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
*Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
*Monitor activity using platforms like XDR, SIEM, and SOAR.
*Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage incident responses.
*Maintain and document security processes and procedures.
*Provide guidance to staff on handling spam, malicious emails, and other potential threats.
*Test and evaluate security products and ensure supplier compliance and certification.
*Support the maintenance of certifications such as Cyber Essentials Plus and contribute to achieving ISO 27001.
Essential Skills:
*Experience with SIEM and XDR platforms.
*Proficiency in incident response management.
*Strong understanding of network security principles.
*Experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
Desirable Skills:
*Familiarity with achieving and maintaining certifications such as Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.
*Experience delivering information security training to diverse audiences.
*Strong organizational and documentation skills.
