What’s involved with this role: Interim Complex Repairs Case Officer - Housing Asset ManagementReference no: Ealing 8179-1Pay Rate:  £28.81 per hour PAYE 35 Monday – Friday, normal working hoursThis opening assignment is for 3 monthsCity: EALING, LONDONKey responsibilities: *Provide influential dynamic case management to ensure works falling under the Complex Repairs Delivery function are carried out effectively and in a timely way, to ensure the vision and values of the organisation and directorate are delivered

*Resolve any disrepair, complaints and dissatisfaction cases, from both within and external to the organisation, with the ability to confidently challenge and resolve difficult issues with a satisfactory outcome

*Work with our legal team to resolve any disrepair cases and support negotiations

*Implement service improvements in collaboration with team members and other stakeholders in the Council to achieve operational excellence.

*Responsible for the operational delivery of case management of all legal disrepair and complex repair works, including the effective record keeping required to deliver excellent services whilst optimising performance, cost and risk

*Responsible for coordinating the diagnostics service ensuring all reports of damp and mould are responded to in line with policy and procedure and all remedial works are tracked, appointed, coordinated and completed within set timescales

*Foster strong relationships with internal and external legal advisers, contractors, and other stakeholders to minimise legal claims and optimise delivery of repairs.

*Adopt innovative solutions and best practice approaches by collaborating with others to reduce disrepair/D&M claims and costs.

*Actively participate in and support the delivery of demand reduction initiatives, including using data insights and predictive modelling to identify service improvements and reduce the number of disrepair/complex case claims.

*Responsible for supporting the operational delivery of Aids and Adaptation services, working in collaboration with external agencies, contractors and internal stakeholders 

Key requirements: *Knowledge of disrepair and complex case management in a social housing environment, along with understanding of Housing Disrepair protocols

*Demonstrate financial awareness for cost effectiveness

*Experience in delivering improvement processes

*Experience of consulting with customers/stakeholders and transforming ideas into actions

*Demonstrate previous accountability for the management of complex cases 

*Demonstrate a track record of proven experience of dealing effectively with complex cases

*Demonstrate excellent and sensitive customer service and negotiation skills 

*Strong organization and case management skills

*Proven ability to effectively analyse trends, lessons learned and improvement ideas

*Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Desirable: *Educated to degree level or equivalent or a related discipline and/or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience
