What’s involved with this role: Interim Senior Lawyer - Adult Social CareReference no: Bury 0009 8DDB / 1Pay Rate: £30.00 per hour PAYE37 Monday – Friday, normal working hoursThis opening assignment is for 3-4 monthsCity: BURYStandard DBS disclosure requiredHybrid workingKey responsibilities: *Undertake a caseload of Adult Social care matters

*Provide detailed and accurate advice on the Council’s responsibilities under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Mental Health Act 1983

*Submit applications to the Court of Protection and High Court

*You will be expected to attend court, negotiate, and conduct your own advocacy

Key requirements: *Be a qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive with up-to-date practicing certificate

*Extensive knowledge of law, legislation and application relevant to area of specialism.

*Experience of managing at a senior level in a large, complex organisation in line with the areas of functional responsibility.

*Experience of Adult Social Care law

*Significant experience of handling and prioritising a personal caseload of legal matters/cases with excellent knowledge in this area of law.

*Be an excellent negotiator, with first rate communication skills

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills - you will be able to communicate effectively up to senior levels right across the business using all mediums.

*Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate and develop your team.

*Ability to constructively challenge staff on legal and performance matters.
