What’s involved with this role: Interim Complex Repairs Surveyor  - Asset ManagementReference no: Ealing 8180-1Pay Rate:  £28.81 per hour PAYE 35 Monday – Friday, normal working hoursThis opening assignment is for 3 monthsCity: EALING, LONDONNote the role will require ladder and scaffold access to some projects.Key responsibilities: *Clearly specify all required works for contractor delivery.

*Manage/quality inspect works when presented by the contractor both during and upon completion of works in accordance with the specification and ensure an electronic record is kept of inspections.

*Ensure the contractor is delivering a high quality, customer-focussed service.

*Adhere strictly to the Councils Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

*Advise the relevant manager of any concerns regarding quality or deviation from the agreed specification.

*Attend weekly L1 performance meetings and provide feedback on progress.

*Instruct and direct the contractor where minor changes are required on site as a result of discoveries during the works and advise the relevant manager on a weekly basis so that formal instructions may be issued.

*Immediately report to the relevant manager any immediate Health and Safety concerns

*Liaise regularly with residents.

*Ensure contractors adhere to their on-site contractual obligations.

Key requirements: *A suitable qualification from an appropriate body such as, CIOB: RICS: CIH

*Possession of a vehicle and a clean driving licence.

*Knowledge of construction and maintenance in a Social Housing environment.

*Knowledge of health & safety legislation and processes in relation to social

*housing.

*Knowledge of housing management systems.

*Demonstrable experience and knowledge of building construction

*Trade role experience

*Experience of delivering a customer-focussed service.

*Good written and verbal communication skills.

*Possess excellent organisational skills.

*Excellent time management skills.  

*Ability to give technical advice to contractors/residents.

Desirable: *A relevant housing qualification.
