Job Description:
An Assistant Accountant who will play a key part of the management accounts team in assistant with the production of the management accounts for our Brazilian Operations.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and keen to develop a career within finance. It will provide exposure to multiple aspects of accounting that will accelerate knowledge and experience, including banking, tax, external reporting and audits.
As this role will largely be focused around the Brazilian operations, an excellent level of verbal and written communication in both Brazilian Portuguese and English would be beneficial.
You will continuously receive dedicated mentoring and have excellent personal development opportunities, including a comprehensive study support package to enable you to progress through your accountancy qualifications.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from their first day of employment.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience
*Studying towards AAT or degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a relevant subject.
*Ability to show initiative and grasp new concepts quickly.
*Exceptional attention to detail.
*Effective communicator who is able to engage with a wide range of financial and non-financial stakeholders.
*Prior experience with an accounting, tax, or finance background in Brazil is desirable.
*An excellent level of verbal and written communication in both Brazilian Portuguese and English would be beneficial.
Main Responsibilities
*Assisting with the creation of the period end management accounts.
*Working closely with the Senior Accountant to build effective processes and procedures.
*Carrying out daily financial reconciliations and investigating variances.
*Posting of monthly journals.
*Supporting with adhoc tasks as required.
