Job Description:
We are working alongside a highly regarded secondary school in Berkshire, seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry. This long-term supply contract starts in January 2025 and offers an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to make a real difference in students’ academic journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver high-quality Science lessons, with an emphasis on Chemistry, to Key Stages 3 and 4.
*Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
*Assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress, ensuring each student achieves their full potential.
*Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
*Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental meetings and training.
*Collaborate with colleagues to deliver extracurricular science activities, where possible.
Requirements:
*Qualifications: *Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*A degree in Chemistry or a related field is highly desirable.
*Experience: *Proven experience teaching Science, particularly Chemistry, at secondary school level.
*Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum.
*Skills: *Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry.
*Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
