From tracking legislation to updating documentation and even carrying out vehicle inspections, the role is always varied and evolving. The role gives you the opportunity to constantly evaluate working practices and to develop your problem solving skills. As part of the pre-sales function, you could influence and guide future market opportunities by implementing your knowledge of relevant approval legislation to best influence customer choice”.
In this role you will:
• Align Scania vehicle specifications with current applicable Type Approval requirements.
• Understand how to handle deviations and provide relevant details to ensure supporting systems and material is up to date.
• Evaluate new Scania product introductions, providing technical and legislative input to local market introduction decisions and activities.
• Identify, collate, and evaluate product development requests from the market and submit them to the factory.
• Provide subject matter expertise to enable approval training for both internal sales personnel and external parties.
• Ascertain the legal requirements and necessary documentation to get a vehicle road ready.
• Secure all required certifications for the vehicle.
• Navigate government regulations and drive the development of systems and processes to obtain the necessary approvals.
About you:
Process driven – capable of following the correct processes to secure vehicle approvals and bring projects to completion.
Attention to detail – effectively manage multiple moving parts, maintaining all documentation, working to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
Technical knowledge – previous experience working in a similar environment, with a good grounding in technical knowledge.
Confident communicator – regularly communicating with colleagues and customers, both verbally and via email.
Initiative – The ability to deal with situations and issues proactively, seizing opportunities that arise.
