Job Title: Conveyancing Secretary
Location: Amersham
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Client: Our client, a reputable law firm in High Wycombe, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Conveyancing Secretary to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in property law and conveyancing to support a busy department and further their career in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide administrative support to the conveyancing team, ensuring the smooth running of the department
*Assist with the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements
*Maintain and update client files, both digitally and in paper form, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
*Coordinate and manage client communications, both by phone and email, ensuring excellent customer service
*Assist with the preparation and submission of searches, land registry applications, and other relevant documentation
*Schedule appointments, meetings, and property viewings, and manage the conveyancing team’s calendar
*Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other professionals to facilitate the conveyancing process
*Handle the filing, scanning, and photocopying of legal documents
*Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines in property transactions
Key Skills & Experience:
*Previous experience working as a Conveyancing Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment
*Solid understanding of the conveyancing process and related legal documentation
*Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and professionals
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with case management software (knowledge of Proclaim is desirable)
*Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
*A proactive, friendly, and professional attitude
