SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Sheffield!

Tradewind Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Sheffield.
About the Role:
*Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
*Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
*Start Date: January 2025
*Hours: Full-time or Part-time
*Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
In this rewarding role, you’ll work closely with a small group of delightful Year 1 students with Autism and ADHD, helping to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. You’ll play a key role in fostering their development, building their confidence, and helping them thrive both academically and socially. There will also be some work involved within EYFS as required.
Your Responsibilities:
*Provide tailored support to students with Autism and ADHD in a Year 1 class.
*Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
*Promote positive learning experiences and emotional well-being.
*Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs.
*Use your creativity and compassion to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
About You:
Tradewind Recruitment are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, empathetic, and adaptable. The ideal candidate will have:
*Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (Autism, ADHD).
*A patient and nurturing approach to teaching and learning.
*Strong communication skills to liaise with staff, students, and parents.
*Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training).
*A genuine desire to help children succeed.
