Job Description:
Warehouse Operative
In an exciting role, our client, who are a leading distributor to the network, data and telecoms industry, are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join their expanding team and start their career, delivering IT infrastructure and networking products.
You will be responsible for assisting in the efficient running of the warehouse operations, including receiving, storing and distributing goods.
What you’ll do
*Be the face of the company, offering exceptional service for their customers.
*Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring they are properly labelled and staged for shipment.
*Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
*Take responsibility for the efficient running of the warehouse for Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control whilst keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe, following Health and Safety guidelines.
*Support on other tasks as required - vehicle maintenance, cleaning/servicing equipment, cycle mounts and stock take etc.
What you’ll have
*Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution centre.
*Physically fit to meet the demands of a warehouse role.
*Be able to speak confidently and comfortably directly with customers with a friendly, proactive and ’can do attitude’.
*Willingness to get involved as part of the team, take ownership, and work on your own initiative.
*Ability to follow instruction and strict processes.
*Computer literate.
*Ability to operate pallet jacks, hand trucks and forklift is desirable, although training will be provided.
*Health and Safety guideline knowledge.

*Salary £20,000 - £26,500 per annum - dependant on experience
