Job Description:
National Account Manager
*£45,000 DOE + bonus
*Hybrid working
*Southwest London / Surrey area
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and commercial National Account Manager to join an established gift and games brand. You will play a pivotal role in driving growth across the key accounts for the business, building strong relationships, and maximising sales with both new and existing customers.
The successful candidate will have solid B2B sales experience working with key and volume accounts ideally within the gifting, stationery, toy, games, or similar sector. Having full accountability for your P&L and forecasting for your accounts, you will have a driven and goal-oriented nature, and a commercial mindset. You’ll be joining a supportive and friendly team of people, and a company with a fantastic culture. This business offers hybrid working, and has a sustainable and ethical ethos.
Main responsibilities in this UK NAM position include:
*Nurturing and growing your customer base, developing strong relationships, and maximising opportunities across all categories
*Identifying new business opportunities, actively seeking out new customers and fresh commercial opportunities UK wide, converting these into long term profitable partners
*Meeting with potential and existing customers, presenting the range and building brand awareness, working with the buyers on range selection to maximise sales
*Full P&L departmental responsibility for B2B sales, agreeing KPIs, and meeting agreed sales targets
*Reviewing and negotiating customer terms and pricing, and provide product suggestions and quotations
*Compiling accurate forecasts, ensuring these are communicated across the business to optimise inventory levels
*Overseeing the B2B portal and liaising with IT Manager and customers to gain traction
*Collaborating with the marketing team with regard to trade communication plans
*Regular sales reporting for presentation to the senior team
*Representing the company at trade shows and events
Skills and experience required for this UK NAM position:
*Strong wholesale account management experience dealing with key and national accounts
*Proven ability to demonstrate growth and expansion within your account base
*Experience of within the gifting, homeware, games, beauty, or stationery industries would be ideal
*FMCG exposure a distinct benefit
*Commercially aware, with a keen eye for spotting opportunities
*A full understanding of the retail / wholesale relationship, the pricing process, margins, tenders, etc
*Excellent attention to detail, an analytical nature, and an expert multi-tasker
*Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
*Driven, proactive and goal driven, always showing initiative
*A team player with a flexible, upbeat approach.
