Job Description:
Interquest have a need for an experienced Finance consultant/Manager that has experience of working within a local government setting. The r role focuses on leading financial management activities for Section 106 (S106) and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
The successful candidate will ensure effective financial oversight, compliance, and reporting in line with the council’s processes and corporate timetable. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the CIL/S106 team to coordinate activities in alignment with the corporate closing timetable. Communicate key time-lines to relevant stakeholders. Work with service finance teams to identify CIL/S106 balances for scheme expenditure. Prepare and post journal entries for drawdown and fund utilisation. Ensure drawdowns are accurately reflected in the Exacom (Planning System). Monthly Monitoring: Reconcile SAP and Exacom systems monthly in collaboration with service teams and the CIL/S106 team. Produce a monthly position statement for the Director of Planning and quarterly summaries for the Lead Member. Other Responsibilities:
